Make your own houseplant fertiliser

Writer's picture: bsgreencornerbsgreencorner

To fertilize my houseplants, I often make my own fertiliser. All you need is:

- 10 g of fresh yeast (which is surprisingly hard to find during this virus epidemic!)

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 1 liters of warm water

Put the sugar and yeast in the water and give it a stir. Let this stand for two hours and voila. In summer, you can water your plant with this solution every week, and in the winter every second.

It doesn’t keep, so use the entire mixture up. You can increase or reduce the amount needed by using an equal ratio.
